This summer, Greentech Renewables partnered with Porter Electric LLC on a beautiful residential solar installation in Morton, Illinois. The homeowner contacted Porter Electric with two main goals: first, to deploy premium, cutting edge technology in their home and second, to offset their monthly energy bill both saving money and increasing efficiency. In addition to these goals, the installation needed to pass a strict aesthetics test. With the home being located in a luxury residential area known for the beauty of its neighborhoods, this array had to be every bit as visually pleasing as it was functional.
Keeping these important goals in mind, Porter Electric went to work on the design and put their talented team of electricians to the task of installing this sleek system. In development, the Porter Electric team collaborated with the Greentech Renewables team to offer a premium product as a high-efficiency, aesthetically pleasing solution. The Canadian Solar HiDM 330 watt mono panels used in this project blend seamlessly into the roof with their shingle cell technology and all black coloring. These, coupled with a SolarEdge inverter and optimizer along with black IronRidge racking products came together in a well designed system that met all of the customer’s needs.
Porter Electric also teamed up with the Clean Energy Federal Credit Union to finance this project. The final product is an attractive, 9.9kW display of solar and a happy customer!
