Im looking into solar as a poss new business and am wanting to know if I have to be an electritian or not.
I am just starting looking into solor power. And I am looking into it for a new business inquire. Im not a electrition and Im wondering if I need to be, Any help will be greatly app. Thanks.

It depends in which state or city are you planning to set up your solar installation business. In CA you need either a C-46 Solar, C-10 Electrical or B-1 General to install but the C-10 must do the electrical connection. Each state varies, so make sure you check with your municipality to determine what licenses are required.

It depends on where you live. In Alberta anyone can start their Own business, but there are a few permits that require a Master Electrician to obtain. You would not have to be a Master Electrician yourself, however, you would need to have one on staff to sign for you
