I just got a Morningstar Sunlight charge controller. I connected the controller to the PV system and the battery. I also have a 300W inverter directly connected to the battery bank.
I am wondering why we have a "load" connection on the charge controller. Shouldn't I connect my load directly on the battery?

I only have 1 pc 12v 90ah battery on a 300watts pv & 20a scc and no inverter connected. My set up is Running a 75watts load 24/7. Is it right to permanently connect an automatic 12v charger on my battery, paralled to my scc?
